Board and Batten

Board and Batten panelling has alternating wide boards and narrow wooden strips (battens) covering the joins. It can be used for exterior or interior panelling, and usually (but not always) consist of 1 foot wide boards for the “wide board”. The boards are most often placed vertically, but can be placed horizontally as well.
