Timber types

New Zealand has many different timber types, ranging from soft wood, through to hard wood varieties. The most commonly used timber for construction in New Zealand is Radiata Pine, and though we do stock and sell pine, here at Tauriko Sawmill, we also specialise in different exotic varieties that can be difficult to source elsewhere.
